End of Season 2018

Wednesday, November 7, 2018
2019 fly fishing season is upon us beginning May 25th, 2019 on the Williamson and Wood rivers. Rod and gear changes this year: you'll be fishing from a new Clackacraft 16' LP Flypod. The new internal configuration makes it very easy to move around the hull. One of Clackacrafts best boats for our waters. Last year I switched from Sage to Scott and Winston fly rods and couldn't be happier with these great feeling rods. Still using the Hardy Zenith's for their versatility and overal...

October Fun

Wednesday, October 14, 2015
Jim and I spent two great days on the Williamson River in October. We took fish on dry flies, nymphs, streamers and soft hackles; whatever the the fish wanted at the time and whatever we felt like throwing at them.

Fishing Season off to a Good Start

Monday, June 22, 2015
It has been a good start to the 2015 season which began May 23rd. The river is in fine shape with good water levels and clarity. Catching lots of fresh fish from the lake. Hatches are a mixed bag of PMD's, baetis, and caddis.

A few hexagenia are starting to show during the day signaling the imminent arrival of the full blown evening hatches. Hexagenia will hatch for a couple weeks till mid-July.
