September and October are two of my favorite months of the year: less crowds, the beginning of cooler weather, but still warm enough for a light shirt during the day, and the return of more insects. Oh! And plenty of fish. For insects we can expect to see Mahogany Duns, PMD's, baetis, and the first stirrings of October Caddis. The beginning of the month is forecast to remain hot, mid- to upper 80's, with cooler mornings and evenings. Fall is not too far behind and towards the middle to latter part of the month we will see an increase in rains. These are all positive factors for fish movement and aggressive eating habits. Should be fun!
